SLAPCOOL- THE BASS
We have created a Solidbody Bass, with ½ continuous, one piece neck made from canadian maple wood, which already creates a good connection between the neck and the 2-part alder-body and creates additional sustain.
the padouk-fingerboard is continued by an extension after the 24th fret to the end of the bass to create a straight forward look and feel. It's equipped with Wagner Medium Jumbo Frets.
The fingerboard is not only optically connected and hence enables the players to strum like on a double bass as well as plucking the strings by using the "Slap-Hollow" in German - "Slap-Kuhle". This opens up a plethora of possibilities for musicians. The ETS single-bridges are embedded in the extensions with ease. The strings are tuned by half-open Hipshot Ultra Light Tuners.
Below the extension you can find the completely invisible PU-technology with 2 specially boosted Harry Häussel PickUps which can display both sound worlds - active as well as passive. The bridge-side PU is a hybrid of a fat musicman and a Jazzbass PU. The halfside PU is a clean Jazzbass SC. For further sound tuning a active 2-tape RQ by Aguilar is built in.
Both of the sharply formed Cutaways, which are connected by hollows with the corpus, as well as the extension which is continued within an alignement using the fingerboard as ramp beyond the end of the corpus, give the "Slapcool" a light and forward design.

Concept and design
